Second-generation ID Number Recognition System Based on Digital Devices

摘要:

研究基于数码设备(如手机、Pad等)的第二代身份证号码识别技术。对于预处理,提出基于Sobel算子边缘检测的身份证图像竖拍或倒拍的判断方法;对于字符分割,基于沈俊边缘检测的
边缘二值图像,提出改进的垂直投影法,有效地解决了粘连体字符的切分;对于字符识别,提取模糊网格八方向梯度特征,采用K近邻分类器的方法进行分类识别。实验结果表明,本系统能准确定位和识
别二代身份证号码,具有较高的识别准确率,具有一般通用性。

Abstract:

This paper studies second-generation ID number recognition technology based on digital devices. For the preprocessing, a method based on Sobel operator template
is provided to judge ID image vertical shooting or down shooting. For the characters segmentation, an improved vertical projection method based on the Shenjun binary edge image
is provided, which solves the segmentation of adhesion character effectively. For the characters recognition, the method of the blur grid eight-direction gradient feature
combined with K-nearest neighbor classifier is used for classification. After many experiments, the results show that this system can accurately locate and recognize ID number
for its high recognition accuracy and it is of general versatility.
