    This paper proposes a kind of mean shift arithmetic based on SIFT(Scale Invariant Feature Transform), which is used to demarcate and track objects in video supervision. SIFT is usually used to match different frames of video, and mean shift to search similarity of different frames by color histogram. Now these 2 mechanisms are combined to calculate the most probable similar areas, while EM(Expectation Maximization) is used to evaluate probability distribution between these 2 methods. Even if either is unstable, the other can ensure the performance of object demarcating. It is verified by experiment that this SIFTMean Shift arithmetic can improve the demarcating performance achieved only by traditional mean shift or SIFT in complex video scenes.

    The grid task scheduling must take account of many time factors because of human’s participation. So the paper proposes a grid task scheduling model based on time difference, then a new optimized approach  Particle Swarm Algorithm (PSO)  is proposed to schedule tasks in service grid. Finally, experiment results show the model can shorten the task implementation time as far as possible, and PSO algorithm is better than some traditional algorithms.

    Traditional test only provides a total score, and computer adaptive test (CAT) not only provides examinee’s score but also estimates examinee’s ability. However, both two methods have not studied students’ cognitive states. The advantage of cognitive diagnostic assessment (CDA) is that it could expose examinee’s specific information and give effective remedy. Teachers can also improve teaching according to students’ knowledge states. So CDA plays an important role in guiding teaching and studying. Traditional test does not include the reachability matrix; therefore the classification accuracy is low. To improve the classification accuracy, a new selection strategy, which combines the reachability matrix with cognitive diagnostic information index is developed. Monte Carlo simulation shows that the pattern classification rate and mean marginal classification rate are improved.

    Traditional OCR methods are based on character segmentation, these methods are not suitable for CAPTCHA that has merged character. The paper puts out a non segmentation recognition method based on weighted template matching and supervised Hebb rule. This method employs gray level and weighted template, searches interesting point on the CAPTCHA image directly, filters out secondbest interesting point by matching rate and Euclidean distance between each interesting point. Further more, a threshold optimization method for image thresholding and a weight adjusting method based on Hebb rule are included in the method. The result of the analysis and experiment proves that this method is more effective and feasible for CATPCHA recognition than simple template matching method. 

    This paper introduces the basic concept and the encoding method of PDF417 barcode, and proposes that applying the SPIHT image compression algorithm to the PDF417 barcode technology and then encoding the face image to a twodimensional barcode to solve the problem of the limited storage space of PDF barcode. The research shows that, with this method, the face image can be compressed in high quality within the prespecified byte count, and will be possible to solve the security problem of certificate.

In order to solve the above problems, this paper presents a new development solution of virtual museum system, and introduces an engine, Unreal3, to build virtual museum using the threedimensional modeling, UV mapping, normal mapping, virtual scene construction, realtime animation of cloth material, etc. This paper provides the means to achieve the automatic touring and interactive walkthrough of the entire museum. The “Huai’an Museum Simulation System” is proved that the program reaches the level of realtime rendering pictures, and gives users a good interactive experience. The technique has the great prospect of industrial application.

    For image scrambling degree evaluation, this paper proposes a new method that each point as the center of the region to calculate the mean gray level. First it modifies the existing definition of ideal scrambling, which only applicable to the position scrambling, so that it can also be applied to the pixel scrambling. And on this basis, taking into account the uniformity of gray value, this paper proposes a new image scrambling degree evaluation formula without original image in the evaluation process. Experimental results show that the formula can effectively measure the degree of image scrambling, more consistent with people’s intuitive visual.

    To solve the problem of short time occlusions in visual tracking, the paper adds trace information on image information in visual object tracking, which lead to a visual tracking algorithm based on image processing and trace prediction. The visual tracking algorithm based on image processing is presented first, the trace prediction methods are introduced later, and the visual tracking algorithm based on image processing and trace prediction is proposed at last. Experimental results show that the proposed algorithm can solve the occlusion problem in visual tracking perfectly.

    Level set method needs to process the image applying the Gaussian smoothing way before running, resulting in the inaccurate results after the end of the extracting process. For this reason, this paper puts forward an improved level set algorithm, the algorithm can amend the results of edge extracting through clustering region increasing processing to extracting results of the level set. The experimental results show that the improved algorithm can effectively improve the quality of the image edge extracting by comparing the traditional level set method and the improved level set method for medical image processing results on the cell.

    It is wellknown that the application of Line Discriminant Analysis (LDA) to highdimensional face recognition often suffers from the socalled the problem of Small Sample Size(SSS) and close to class overlap. A new LDA method is proposed in this paper. The SSS problem is resolved by defining withinclass scatter matrices for balancing bias and variance estimate of eigenvalues; weighting betweenclass scatter matrices for preventing edge class from being overlapped; introducing a regularized Fisher’s criterion for increasing the stability of the null space B of withinclass scatter matrices to well project the samples into the optimal space. Extensive experimental results show the new LDA algorithm can solve the above problems and outperforms traditional methods by controlling the parameters according to the degree of the SSS problem. 

The system only uses USB camera and general as computer hardware platform. System software is designed with DirectShow technology for data acquisition, playback, using Mpeg4 video compression encoding, decoding, and using RTP / RTCP transmission control protocol for multicast live audio and video data.     The test system has the advantage of large storage capacity and fast speed based on the computer system, thus automatic test of key parameters of linear potentiometer based on VB will become a new research trend. This paper puts forward a design scheme for potentiometer test system based on VB technology. The user, through visual interface testing platform, can quickly access to key test resistance law, and timely display or print corresponding curve. The test equipment hardware is constituted of the hardware circuit by DS89C450, MX674A, and SM202 components, and its software uses C and assembly programming languages. The test system uses a visual interface by VB.NET programming in PC, and easy to operate. An application example is given; the experiment result shows that this platform has good performance, stability, and the practical and promotion value.

    Pumping well system fault diagnosis system is the key to production, for better and faster diagnosis of the current well system to ensure the production of oil, people uses a variety of technologies to achieve this goal. BP neural network technology is one of the wells fault diagnostic tool, but because of its easy trapped in local optimal solution, slow convergence and poor generalization ability, the paper uses concept of concentration in immune algorithm into genetic algorithm and uses this improved genetic algorithm to optimize BP and which used in the process of pumping site fault diagnosis, the results show that the optimized BP algorithm have a higher detection rate and faster speed, so the ability of optimized BP algorithm is more better than BP algorithm in finding global optimal point and convergence.

    In the course of signals and systems, not only the theories are abstract, but the formula are very complex. The experimental teaching enables students to develop their skills and innovation abilities better. However, traditional experiments have many disadvantages, such as the inconvenience and immobility, that is to say their portability is poor. Besides, it is usually difficult for us to change circuit connection and circuit parameters. Based on the programming language MATLAB with GUI which can provide a visualized interface, the system including four blocks—filter, continuous periodic signals decomposition and synthesis, signal sampling and recovery, signal modulation and demodulation, are designed. In this system, the theories are explicitly presented. Using the system, users can input parameters according to their demands, the operation is just simple. As a result, the system is very helpful for users to understand the comprehensive abstract theories, and is very helpful for students to cultivate and improve their consciousness and ability of creativity.
