    Predicting RNA Secondary Structure Based on Hybrid Ant Colony System and Genetic Algorithm

    RNA secondary structure prediction is an important research field in bioinformatics. A new method is presented to predict RNA secondary structure based on hybrid ant colony system and genetic algorithm. The relationship information between different stems is used to generate the initial population and the accumulated pheromone information is used to construct new secondary structure. Then the folding pathway is simulated, including such processes as construction of the heuristic information, the rule of initializing the pheromone, the mechanism of choosing the initial and next stem and the strategy of updating the pheromone between two different stems. And a new crossover strategy is proposed. By testing the RNA sequences with known structures, experiment result shows that this algorithm improves the prediction accuracy compared with genetic algorithm.

    Information retrieval based on ontology is an effective approach to achieve knowledge retrieval. A kind of information retrieval methodology based on rough ontology is proposed against formal concept, which is supported by ontology, is not enough to represent incomplete knowledge. This methodology represents ontology in the form of ontology information system. First, given a keyword based query, it combines with the keyword based method to search documents in predefined semantic document space, and then, association search method is used to search individual set and property set relating to query keywords, and property set as equivalence class constructs approximation space. Last, approximation space is used to compute similarity of individual set and document set and according to the degree of similarity to rank. The experiment shows that this methodology can be performed more better than methods based on keyword and classical ontology in precision.

    Feature selection is the important factor which affects the question classification of question answering system. By fully using the characteristics of Chinese FrameNet in terms of semantic expression, this paper presents a new question classification-oriented approach in feature selection called strong class information words (SCIW). Firstly, it selects five kinds of Chinese FrameNet features as candidate features, and then uses SCIW to select features. According to each category’s classification precision of features, it sorts the classification ability of each single feature. Through the experiment of combinations of features, it selects the combination of features, which has better classification results. So the feature reduction can be reached.

    Clustering is the assignment of a set of observations into subsets so that observations in the same cluster are similar in some sense, observations in the different cluster are different. An improved clustering method based on MST is raised out. This method can determine discrepancy more exactly, which is more consistent with vision sensing process of human being. Evaluation of clustering shows that it can increase effectiveness of cluster. This method can be used in the classification and recognition of information.

    The simple genetic algorithm which uses a fixed crossover probability and mutation probability can not always meet the current needs of population, which affects the algorithm performance and efficiency. This paper uses the adaptive crossover probability and mutation probability, unifies the parallel technology and the genetic algorithm, and proposes the adaptive parallel genetic algorithm for Poisson curve settlement forecasting model optimization. The experimental results indicate that, this algorithm provides an effective method for the parameter estimation of Poisson curve settlement forecasting model.

    The materialized view is an important means of increasing the execution efficiency of a data warehouse, but the storage of materialized view costs space. This paper takes the materialized view which has to be scanned during the query or the space size of fact tables as the query time cost, the time cost of query and the storage cost of materialized view as measurement standard to build the cost estimation model and design the optimization algorithm of materialized view based on genetic algorithm, in order to minimize the sum of the storage cost of materialized view and the time cost of query. According to the experiment, the algorithm is feasible.

    HHT is a new method of signal processing, which has time-frequency adaptively. It can be used to analyze all kinds of signals, including stationary, non-stationary, linear, non-linear etc. The core of HHT EMD is flattering, which shows the signal in sum of different scale sequences, and instantaneous time-frequency spectrum can reflect physical significance precisely. HHT is used to process rotor broken signal of cage motor, and it shows effective and accurate. The method does not need large numbers of data, and the cost of hardware and software can be saved.

This paper proposes a band-partitioning spectral entropy and short-time energy based endpoint detection algorithm based on time-frequency joint. Compared with the two-door method and spectral entropy, its precision is greatly improved. This method has characteristics for noise immunity and real-time, and can be applied to practical application of speech recognition.

    UML collaborative diagram describes objects interaction and the message transferring procedure between objects. So the test scenarios can be generated according to the message flow and control flow in UML collaborative diagram. After analyzing the relationship between UML collaborative diagram and deterministic finite automata(DFA), this paper presents a method of converting an UML collaborative diagram to a DFA model, then generates test scenarios and test cases based on DFA. Finally, this method is applied to test case generation of one real project “manhour quota management system”. Through the data comparison and analysis of the results, the method is proved effective and practical.

    Edge detection of noise image is not ideal, so a combined edge detecting algorithm based on improvement of median filter and mathematical morphology is proposed. First of all, the new method uses the improved median filter to reduce noise, and then employs the mathematical morphology to edge detection. The whole process is simulated with Matlab and the results show that the noise can be suppressed effectively, edge details are protected well, the precision of detection is improved evidently, and the detected edge is clear and smooth by using the proposed algorithm.

    In order to promote the application of two dimensional barcode in embedded systems, this paper designs a QR code recognition system. The system is based on S3C6410 development board and WINCE platform. Firstly, this paper briefly introduces the basic structure of QR code. And then, it analyzes the gray level transformation, median filter and binarization of QR code image, and studies the location and rectification of QR code. The last but not the least, it emphatically discusses the problem of real-time image acquisition. After being used, the system shows good stability and considerably high barcode recognition rate.

    Image pre-processing is the most important step of iris recognition. According to the characteristics of iris image, to solve low operation speed and robustness of iris recognition, this paper proposes a locating arithmetic based on Canny operator and Hough transform, then uses Daugman’s protectin model to normalize and enhance the image by histogram equalization. The experiment result shows that the iris image pre-processing arithmetic proposed in this paper can solve the problem of low operation speed and robustness efficiently, and also can improve the stability and recognition rate of the iris recognition system.

    The characteristic and usage of OpenMP are explained. And the synthetic aperture radar imaging range-Doppler algorithm is analyzed for getting the most appropriate operations which can be executed by OpenMP. The original synthetic aperture radar imaging range-Doppler algorithm is converted to a parallel executable program on OpenMP with two parallel computing methods: pragma omp for and pragma omp section. Multi-threads are established to reduce the executive time. It is proved that executive time is reduced to 67%. The processor's efficiency is improved.

It’s meaningful to detect abnormal operation timely by online monitoring system of temperature and temperature rise of transformer. The system based on DS18B20, uses MCU as slave computer, and high performance PC as host computer. It achieves to monitor the temperature and temperature rise in real time, and completes data displaying, curve drawing, alarming, report printing, fault recording and analysis. The results show that the system can shorten MTTR and prolong MTBF.

To address these needs, this paper proposes and implements to prevent construction workers in the railway station, the train cars by the range of injury when operating high-tech equipment. The system can monitor an extension from the scheduling, computer monitor, or computer interlocking collection information. It can also be mechanical room directly from the signal wiring collection of information, gathering information in two ways: serial acquisition mode and CAN bus mode.

    Two schemes including both linear equalization (LE) and decision feedback equalization (DFE) are introduced based on the adaptive least mean square (LMS) algorithm. Simulations are utilized to compare the equalization performance of the LELMS and the DFELMS in the hybrid mode of training and decision-directed. Moreover, the influence of the length of feedback filter on the DFELMS algorithm is analyzed. Results indicate that in the training period, the LELMS outperforms the DFELMS; in the decision-directed phase, for the channel in good condition, the LELMS has a desirable equalization performance comparatively; in the case of the ill-conditioned channel, the LELMS degrades greatly whereas the DFELMS equalizes the channel better as the length of feedback filter increases.

    The basic theory and realization of support vector machines are described. Then the kernel functions of SVM and its optimization problem are discussed. The different kernel function selections are carried out simulation experiments with glass identification database, iris plants database and car evaluation database of UCI. The simulation results show that the data of same type with different kernel function have different classification efficiency and there is great influence for classification efficiency with right selection of kernel function.

    Genetic algorithm (GA) is used to optimize plane’s periodic maintenance dislocation workflow firstly. The multi-limit optimization model of dislocation work is built according to critical path method (CPM), and the law of workable solutions alternation is used to design the coding and decoding means, and the GA, improved with the simulated annealing operator and the elite saving operator, is used to solve. The simulation results demonstrate that, to solve the multi-limit problem, the improved GA is much stronger in best-solution search ability than the simple GA; after optimization the finish time of dislocation work is shorter 14.70% than before, and it proves that GA is good for the optimization of dislocation periodic maintenance workflow.

    The static and dynamics structural characteristics of remotely operated weapon station (ROWS) are analyzed based on the fourth intensity theory and modal analysis theory. The stress and strain of the bracket under shooting load of weapons is obtained. The structure of the bracket is redesigned to reduce the weight, which leads to a reduction of 54 percent of weight and 51 percent of moment of inertia. Modal analysis of the system is carried out. The fundamental vibration frequency of the system is 156.71Hz, which means that there is no danger of resonance on condition of firing.

    This article offers two different optimization methods as for the problem of parameter’s optimization in the mathematics model. That is, non-linear programming function and the function of gaopt in the genetic algorithm optimization toolbox. In view of respective characters of the two different optimization methods, the optimal value of gaopt function is regarded as the initial value of optimization of non-linear programming functions. The method solves the problem about the uncertainty of the initial value of non-linear programming functions and the required parameter values would be quickly and reasonably searched. The result proves that the method of the combination of genetic algorithm and function transfer preferably realizes the optimization of parameter values in mathematics model.

    The configuration and management of database cluster based on physical host have the problem of complex configuration and poor flexibility. Virtualization technology combined with cluster system management makes the system management and resource construction more flexible and transparent. This paper presents Xen Server virtual platform and MySQL database cluster system based concept proof scheme. The performance of the system is analyzed by comparing with the testing data of MySQL 5.1 single server version. The solution proposed in this paper not only reduces the complexity of database cluster system deployment through using the rapid replication function of virtual platform, improves the flexibility of configuration, but also has higher performance advantage in concurrency and massive data processing compared to MySQL 5.1 single server version.

    This thesis researches the watermarking techniques. Through combining human visual system, an improved algorithm based on DCT transform is proposed. The way is to use the adaptive quantization on the basis of JPEG quantization table, and meanwhile selecting the place of watermark embedding improved. Experimental results show that the selection of embedded place makes algorithm adapted to the image with different general characters and local characteristics, and therefore it generates a lot of mobility. At the same time, good stability and visibility are testified from the experimental data and macroscopic observation.
