摘要： 对JPEG图像压缩编码的结构和特点进行研究，剖析其理论背景和实际运用空间，在此基础上利用VC++6.0编制一套JPEG图像压缩软件，占用空间小、运算速度快，较其他实现方法具有明显优势。

关键词: 图像编码, DCT, JPEG, VC++6.0

Abstract: Structures and characteristics of JPEG image compression coding are studied in depth, whose theoretical background and application fields are analyzed. Software of JPEG image compression with obvious advantages over others is developed by using VC++6.0 with little space, fast computing and high practicality.
