Abstract: ava technology is widely applied in embedded systems and consumer electronics fields, for its advantages in platform neutrality, security, adaptability of network environment. J2ME is a Java platform for embedded devices. The phoneME, an open source J2ME software, is researched. A transplanting scheme of J2ME platform on the ARM-Linux embedded system is proposed. By setting up cross compile environment and related configurations, the J2ME is transplanted and established on S3C2410 system. The J2ME platform can provide Java applications on embedded systems. Experiments show that the transplanting scheme is feasible.
