Abstract: Face detection and tracking are the research hotspots of computer vision, which is gradually investigated in this paper. To begin with, the difficulties of this issue are briefly introduced. In addition, the widespread use of face detecting and tracking in the fields of video monitoring, human-computer interaction and information security is demonstrated in detail. Finally, the research status of face detection is analyzed, upon which the long-term and realtime face tracking in random environments and the tracking framework of TLD(Tracking-Learning-Detection) are profoundly illustrated.
