Research on Porting Embedded Linux Operating System Based on TMS320DM6467

Abstract:

Dealing with the increasingly complicated application demand of embedded system, this paper proposes a scheme for porting embedded Linux operating system on video-transcoding VPC6467 platform with the core of

TMS320DM6467 microprocessor. Based on the detailed description of characteristics of VPC6467 platform and Monta Vista Linux, general ideas and specific methods are elaborated, which include the architecture of porting environment, curing of the Bootloader, cross-compiling and porting of kernel image, developing of Ramdisk file system. After the porting, Linux system operates steadily and conveniently, which has been worked as a video-transcoding application platform

environment.
