Abstract: This paper discusses a solution which applies the notion of behavior analysis to the debugging and testing process of Linux kernel porting on simulation platform. The outstanding feature of testability and the principle of software-tracking in the simulation platform are fully discussed. The behavior particle is also defined according to the special environment. Moreover, this paper introduces some special data structures and algorithms to illustrate the behavior tracking and analysis, and analyzes the applicability of this solution.

Key words: simulation platform, behavior analysis, porting of Linux kernel, software-tracking
