Abstract: DV-Hop location algorithm is one of common methods for wireless sensor networks. The demand of node hardware requirements of this algorithm is low. But this algorithm uses the hop distance to replace the actual distance, while the average hop distance has the relationship with the network connectivity and the node density. Through analysis on DV-Hop algorithm, this paper presets an improved algorithm which fixed the average hop distance and estimated distance to improve the accuracy of node location. The experiment is finished under three different node distribution environment. Simulation results show that the improved algorithm enchances the nodes localization precision.
