Abstract: For the problem of motion-blur by the relative motion between the camera and the star scene during taking pictures, a new motion-blurred restoration algorithm for the star image is proposed. An improved thinning algorithm is used to obtain the star point trajectory, so as to extract the blur kernel of the motion-blurred star image. Then the motion-blurred image is restored based on the restoration algorithm of Richardson-Lucy. Experimental results show that the proposed method of using thinning algorithm to get the blur kernel is of low complexity, less time-consuming as well as high accuracy, which has a good restoration effect on the motion-blurred star image.
