Abstract: Inordertomakebetteruseofimagepriorandtoprotecttheedges,textureoftheimage,animprovedalgorithmwhichcombinestrainednonlinearreactiondiffusion(TNRD)withpatchgrouppriorbaseddenoising(PGPD)isproposed.Firstofall,threeorthogonalsubbandsareobtainedbywaveletdecompositionofthePGPDdenoisedimage.Thetheoreticalanalysisshowsthattheimageisthesumofthesubbands.Thendiffusingthesubbandwithhighfrequencycoefficientsofwhichthewaveletcoefficientsaregreaterthanthethresholdbynonlinearreactiondiffusion,andtheresultsareusedtoreplacetheoriginalsubbandtogetthefinaldenoisingimage.Theexperimentalresultsshowthattheimprovedalgorithmhasgreaterperformanceimprovement,suchasthePeakSignaltoNoiseRatio(PSNR),thedetailsprotection.
