Abstract: A new method of image encryption is proposed by introducing a 3D chaotic mapping and combining matrix operations on finite fields. Firstly, the original image is mapped into two 2D matrices by using chaotic mapping. Then, the original image matrix is respectively combined with the two matrices to perform the addition and multiplication operations on the finite fields. The experimental results show that the proposed algorithm achieves satisfactory results in terms of anti-jamming capability and execution efficiency.
