摘要: 车辆牌照自动识别系统在桥梁、路口自动收费、停车场无人管理、违章车辆自动记录等领域有着广泛的应用。本文通过对系统中牌照字符分割技术的研究,在梯度锐化和去除离散杂点噪声的基础上,提出一种逐行逐列扫描的简单分割方法,并将其应用于牌照图像的字符快速分割,准确率得到显著提高。

Abstract: Vehicle license plate recognition system is applied in a wide range of areas such as the bridge, the junction of automatic toll collection, parking unattended, automatically records of the vehicle regulations. By studying on character segmentation in the license plate system, and on the basis of gradient sharpening and noise removal of discrete miscellaneous points, the paper proposes a simply divide method by progressive and column scan, and applies it to characters in rapid segmentation of license images, the accuracy is improved significantly.
