摘要: 新兴的IEEE802.15.4(ZigBee)技术主要用在低传输速率、低功耗、低成本的无线个人局域网中。由于图像数据信息量比较大,传输时需要的传输速率比较高,因此低速率网络中的图像传输技术已经成为一个热点问题。通常,ZigBee应用一个单一的信道来进行数据信息的传输,由于单信道传输模式受到带宽的影响比较大,如果多信道多射频芯片的构想能够实现,一定会使整个网络的性能得到提升。本文旨在设计一种应用多射频多信道技术来提高ZigBee网络中图像传输性能的方法,经验证,该方法是可行的。

Abstract: The emerging IEEE 802.15.4 (ZigBee) standard is used for low data rate, low power consumption and low cost wireless personal area networks (WPANs). Image transmission over such networks is considered an issue since image traffic contains a large amount of information that requires high data rates. ZigBee, in general, uses a single channel for data transmission. The aggregate throughput of ZigBee network can be improved by using multiple channels. The main focus of the paper is on the image transmission over ZigBee networks using multiple channels and multiple radio interfaces, which aims to improve the total throughput of networks. The results show that the image transmission over the proposed method is feasible.
