摘要: 传统的基于Gabor小波能量特征的图像检索技术,在检索旋转图像时效果很差。为了解决这个问题,本文提出具有旋转不变性的Gabor纹理特征表示。本算法仅在特征提取阶段增加了一些求和运算,计算成本低。同时,新算法大大降低了特征空间的维数,不但减少了存放元数据所需的额外存储空间,而且降低了相似度计算的成本。模拟实验表明,新算法在检索结果的准确性方面有了较大提高,具有一定的优越性。

Abstract: Conventional Gabor representation and its extracted features often yield a fairly poor performance in retrieving the rotated versions of the texture image under query. In this paper, a rotation-invariant Gabor texture representation is presented to address the issue. In the proposed algorithm, each representation only requires few summations on conventional Gabor filter impulse responses. The dimension of the new feature space is much reduced, which leads to a much smaller metadata storage space and faster on-line computation on the similarity measurement. Simulation results demonstrate that the proposed invariant Gabor representations and its extracted invariant features significantly are superior to conventional Gabor representation approach for retrieving the versions of rotated texture image.
