Algorithm of Wireless Sensor Networks Cluster-head Selection Based on Sensing Coverage

Abstract

Abstract: Energy efficiency and sensing coverage are two important issues need to be concerned in wireless sensor networks. In this paper, we introduce correlation-node number as a parameter to improve the cluster-head selection of LEACH protocol. According to the simulation results, the proposed algorithm can prolong the network lifetime and the effective operating time of the whole network.

