Vector Spatial Database Based on Hadoop

Abstract

Abstract: Large GIS system stores huge quantity of vector data and needs to supply efficient service for multi-user concurrent access. Traditional design of spatial database cannot meet the requirement. To solve the problem of massive vector data storage in Large-GIS, we propose a new Hadoop-based method in this paper and demonstrate its effectiveness through an extensive experimental evaluation.
