Abstract: Today, with arrival of the era of the large data and the cloud computing, either the relational database technology or non-relational database technology can not meet the development needs of the times. Combining the advantages of the two kinds of databases is the way to solve the problem. The Spanner is designed by Google based on this purpose. It is a collection of a variety of database outstanding technology and it represents a new trend of distributed database: NewSQL.
